Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis.
The 28-year-old, who joined Atleti from Deportivo La Coruna in 2010, will now negotiate personal terms and undergo a medical with the Premier League club.
Filipe Luis was a key member of the Atleti side that made history last season, helping Diego Simeone s men win the Spanish title for the first time in 18 years, breaking the well-established duopoly between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Schalke have confirmed Markus Weinzierl as their new head coach on a three-year deal.
The 41-year-old succeeds Andre Breitenreiter in Gelsenkirchen after completing a long-mooted switch from fellow Bundesliga club Augsburg.
Breitenreiter led Schalke to fifth place and a spot in the Europa League group stage for next season, but announced he would leave the club after a single campaign in charge.

Fan-made expansion-sized mod Fallout: London has been on people’s radars since it was unveiled several years ago, and though the wait for it has been long, its development team says the end is finally in sight, with the mod set to launch in the near future- though a release date is still unknown.
