When the PS5 Pro launches in November, there will be a good number of games that will have enhancements for the mid-gen upgrade in place on day one, and of the ones that have been officially confirmed to be in that group so far, Alan Wake 2 is undoubtedly one of the more prominent ones.

The Thing: Remastered, based on the 2002 survival horror title, has finally received some new details before its launch this year, courtesy of an interview with SyFy Wire. Original director Mark Atkinson has already confirmed the removal of scripted infections, but that’s only scratching the surface.

The remaster also features more than 1,500 code changes and 2,000 improvements to the art and levels. While we’ve seen the revamped lighting, character models, atmospheric effects, shadows, and more, there’s a lot of quality of life. Gareth Bale s lack of playing time is of no concern for Rob Page, who has backed the Los Angeles FC forward to leave his mark for Wales at the World Cup.
